Our Story

The Skin Stuff is fundamentally different from the skin care products on the market today. We’ve chased down the purest botanicals. We’ve made those botanicals into the most effective extracts that actually stimulate collagen production. And, collagen production means younger-looking skin.

Every single ingredient we use has a skin-renewing purpose. The Skin Stuff is the result of years researching, testing, sample-giving…then more research. Did we mention research?

We saw what was out there on the market: Overpriced, chemical-filled, marginally effective. And all just slightly-tweaked combinations of the same basic chemicals, all put together with the same old mass-manufacturing techniques.

We knew we could do better. And so we did better.

Sample studies were met with “This stuff is amazing!” Everyone said they’d never used anything like it. Men, women, younger, older, all skin types; dry and oily. Samples were used under makeup and on bare skin, in dry climates and humid climates.

But let’s go back to our unique origin. The Skin Stuff was not developed to be marketed. It was created to answer a skin injustice of sorts. A skinjustice, if you will. You might be saying, “There’s a good story here.” Good for you: you’re right!

We could begin with our founder’s decades of experience cultivating and working with medicinal herbs and botanicals. Or with his vast knowledge of plant-based healing. But our website manager told us not to get wordy, and we do what she says. Really, our founder tells it best himself:

“People I knew started using hugely-overpriced skin creams/serums for anti-aging.  I’d read through the ingredients lists and couldn’t believe how many potentially-toxic or cheap, probably-useless substances appeared to be in these products. I wanted to make something that would work as well as, or better than this brand-name face stuff I thought was a giant rip-off.  And, at around $150 for a one-ounce container, who could afford to use their stuff consistently anyway? So, I set out upon my quest. I needed it to work really well, do no harm, and save them from buying dubious stuff for way too much money. So the focus was on an excellent final result, not on selling it. That part just came about from everyone’s suggestions (to market it) once they started using it.” —Bill MacIntosh
